Professional Development Module

This module is designed to help “roll out” the Adolescent Literacy Toolkit. It may be used by either state education agencies or districts to introduce and explain how to use the toolkit to content-area teachers. The module can be modified to include state- or district-specific information and to align with state and local adolescent literacy initiatives.

The PowerPoint presentation’s corresponding facilitator’s notes provide suggestions for how states or districts can tailor the module and include suggested activity options based on the amount of time available and desired level of depth of the professional development.
