Thanks for your cooperation—4 MSP projects will be participating in the special fall 04 survey to allow our study to learn about teachers use of the PDAL monthly web reporting tool and to conduct the year 2 Profesional Development survey (participating are MSPs in El Paso, S. Texas, Bridgeport, Cleveland).
1. Fall 04 Professional Development mail survey--We are sending the 4 MSP Project Directors or evaluation coordinators the Study teacher mailing lists from the Baseline Spring 03 SEC survey—we appreciate your help in reviewing the addresses and providing changes/corrections, since this fall’s survey will be conducted by mail. Teachers that complete both parts will receive a gift certifcate from Barnes and Noble.
We will send a draft of the survey by Oct. 20 for your review.
2. SEC Spring 05 Teacher survey-- Please contact your participating districts to put the SEC Followup Teacher Survey on the spring schedule. As we discussed, our staff will be available to come to your districts or schools to provide oreintation and lead the survey data collection.
(Rochester schools—last week in April; El Paso and S. Texas – first week in May. )
3. Data analysis Workshop--We posted the notice for the Feb. 2 Workshop on Data Analysis in Wasington DC on the MSP net website. We hope that 1 or 2 staff from each of the study sites will participate. We will be reviewing findings from your schools’ data.
This will be held immediately after the NSF MSP annuall conference Jan 31- Feb. 1.
Please email Carlise Greenfield carliseg@ccsso.org if you or your staff plan to participate. The workshop will be for 30 evaluators or project staff from MSPs. Expenses should be covered by your project.
