School Improvement Initiative

The School Improvement Initiative, formerly called the High-Poverty Schools Initiative, is comprised of projects aimed at increasing the capacity of state education agencies to work with local districts toward improving student performance in high-poverty schools. Together, these projects provide opportunities for state, district, and school administrators to understand the challenges that can undermine student achievement in high-poverty schools and strategies for transforming low-performing schools into high-performing campuses.
