Surveys of Enacted Curriculum

The Survey of Enacted Curriculum (SEC) is a practical, efficient research tool for obtaining consistent data on math and science education based on teacher reports. The SEC Collaborative was formed in 1998 to assist CCSSO and states in developing the use of enacted curriculum surveys in mathematics and science. State participants and invited experts meet three times per year to discuss survey design, data collection and analysis methods, reporting formats, alignment of curriculum and assessment, and strategies for professional development and workshops on data-driven curriculum reform.  For a current schedule of meetings, contact Carlise Smith, carlises@ccsso.org.
