Call for Proposals now CLOSED

The 40th annual National Conference on Student Assessment (NCSA) will be held in Detroit, MichiganDetroit or “Motown” is known for their popular music legacies and as the world’s traditional automotive center.  Detroit is rich in culture with plenty of sport venues too.

The 2010 conference is not only about salient issues around assessment that look at where we are, where we need to be, and what needs to be done to get it right – but an opportunity to “pay it forward” to a city in need.  The education community has an opportunity to provide economic support in a time when the Detroit auto industry is faced with depressed economic times and an urban district that has been pegged as “ground zero” by the Secretary of Education.  We as educators have the chance to bring great content and discussion to a city that struggles like so many other urban cities when it comes to educational reform.  NCSA can provide a forum to look at how we can better provide students with an education system that will give them the skill sets they need to make a difference in today’s world.

So save the date! CCSSO looks forward to another exciting conference.
