Examining State Strategies for Supporting Low-Performing Districts & Schools

The meeting was a joint effort between CCSSO and the Center for Data Driven Reform in Education (CDDRE) at Johns Hopkins University. The goals of the meeting were to assist state education agencies in working towards developing a common framework for working with low-performing districts and schools; share ideas for state-level actions that support districts in turning around low-performing schools; share the existing research base on strategies and programs that have proven successful in meeting the needs of all children; and explore the future role of the Consortium for School Improvement (CSI) in supporting state efforts to improve low-performing schools and districts.
