- Center for Improving Teacher Quality (CTQ)
A national center housed at CCSSO and funded by Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services of the U.S. Department of Education to work with states on developing models for improving the preparation, licensing, and professional development of both general and special education teachers of students with disabilities.
- Assessing Limited English Proficient Students (LEP-SCASS)
CCSSO collaborative of state educators, representatives of the U.S. Department of Education, and consultants that focuses on the development and dissemination of tools to support standards-based assessment for students with limited English proficiency.
- Assessing Special Education Students (ASES-SCASS)
CCSSO collaborative of state educators, representatives of the U.S. Department of Education, and consultants that focuses on accommodations and alternate assessment issues, professional development in universal design of assessments; and reporting assessment results for students with disabilities.
- National Clearinghouse for English Language Acquisition and Language Instruction Educational Programs
Funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement & Academic Achievement for Limited English Proficient Students (OELA, formerly OBEMLA) to collect, analyze, and disseminate information relating to the effective education of linguistically and culturally diverse learners in the U.S.
- Immigrant Students and Secondary Schools Reform Project
With funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, CCSSO assists states in improving educational services for English language learners (ELLs) enrolled in high schools undergoing reform.
