  Metrorail

Metrorail, the region's rapid transit system stops adjacent to Terminals B and C.

Shuttle buses run between Metrorail and Terminal A, where Alaska Airlines, ATA, Midway Air Lines and Northwest Airlines continue to operate. From the Metrorail stop, follow signs to "Shuttle to Terminal A" bus stops on Level G (Ground) of Garages B and C.

Metrorail station is easily accessible from Terminals B & C by using the pedestrian bridges or Terminal A by taking the Airport Shuttle marked "METRO/ GARAGE."

Purchase fare cards from machines. Board a Yellow Line train marked "Mt. Vernon Square." Exit train at "Gallery Place" and transfer to a Red Line train marked "Glenmont" or "Silver Spring." Exit train at Union Station.

Exit station to "Union Station Shops" taking escalator in center of station. At second escalator exit to "Massachusetts Avenue." At street level, turn to your left, cross parking lot and First Street, NE. Walk one block on Massachusetts Avenue, in front of the City Post Office Building. Cross North Capitol Street, NW at next corner and you are in front of the National Guard Memorial Building (One Massachusetts Avenue). Walk down left side of building about half-way and enter glass doors. Take elevator to 7th floor to CCSSO.


  SuperShuttle

SuperShuttle is a door-to-door service. See a guest services representative at the SuperShuttle desk near the baggage claim.

  Washington Flyer Services

Washington Flyer taxicabs serve Dulles International Airport exclusively with 24-hour service to and from the airport. Taxicab dispatchers are on duty 24 hours a day at the East and West ramps on the lower level of the Main Terminal. Wheelchair mini buses only accommodate 1 chaired or disabled passenger and 3 additional non-chaired passengers. Smoking and non-smoking vehicles are available by request.

Taxicabs accept American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Discover Card, and Visa, and provide transportation at metered rates to any destination in metropolitan Washington.  Washington Flyer Coach

Operated by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, the Washington Flyer Coach Service provides a convenient link between Washington Dulles and the West Falls Church Metrorail station. All coaches are disabled-accessible. Go to www.washfly.com for schedules and price information.


  SuperShuttle

Door-to-door shared ride van. SuperShuttle's door-to-door service is available to the Flyer Coach stops, as well as Union Station. SuperShuttle stops are clearly identified on the Ground Transportation Level roadway outside the Main Terminal at Washington Dulles.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS


FROM THE NORTH -- 95 GOING SOUTH
(From New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore)

Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway which is Route 295 South. Take the exit for Route 50 West, which is New York Avenue West, and continue for 2 miles. Make a LEFT onto North Capitol Street. Continue just over 1 mile to the intersection with Massachusetts Avenue. The building is on the right at the intersection.


FROM THE SOUTH -- 95 GOING NORTH
(From Richmond)

Take Route 95 North until it changes to Route 395 North. Cross the 14th Street Bridge and stay in the right lane. Exit at 395 North the U.S. Capitol/C Street exit and stay to the right. Go through the tunnel and exit at Massachusetts Avenue. Cross Massachusetts Avenue, make next RIGHT onto H Street. At third light (North Capitol Street) turn right. Continue 1-1/2 blocks to intersection with Massachusetts Avenue, building is on the right.

FROM THE WEST
(From Dulles Airport)

Take Route 66 East and follow signs to the Roosevelt Bridge. Exit at Constitution Avenue. On the left between 2nd and 3rd Streets look for signs that say the Labor Department. Make a LEFT at Louisiana Avenue and a LEFT onto North Capitol Street. Continue 3 blocks to Massachusetts Avenue, building is on the left.


Parking

Parking near the Council Office is available at the following locations:

  • Multi-level public parking garage located behind Union Station. Walk two blocks to the Council Office.
  • Metered street parking on North Capitol Street and Massachusetts Avenue. Cost is $1 per hour (quarters needed).
