CCSSO annually collects and reports information on statewide student assessment programs. The information is updated each year through the cooperation of the assessment director and staff in each state and the District of Columbia. This report contains critical information regarding statewide assessments administered to public school students during the school year 2009-10. The CCSSO report focuses on key characteristics of state assessment programs in four academic subjects: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. For each state, we report by subject the name of the test(s), grades assessed, type of test and the test window.
