State Policy Implications of the Model Core Teaching Standards (Draft Discussion Document)
This discussion paper is a companion piece to the InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards: A Resource for State Dialog (April 2011) and describes policy levers states can use to adopt and implement the new standards. The paper is intended to promote dialog among CCSSO and its members and partners regarding how we can leverage change in policies and strategies to achieve the new vision of teaching outlined in the InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards. The standards are designed to be compatible with the recently released Common Core Standards for students and other professional education standards.
