Incorporating Meaningful Measures of Progress

In partnership with a cadre of leading researchers, Innovation Lab Network states are working to identify gaps in existing assessment approaches and design and test performance-oriented and formative assessments aligned to outcomes-based accountability models. This work will support states in offering a system of assessments along a continuum from the more highly structured to those that can accomodate authentic complex environments and student agency.
