State ESEA Flexibility Map

On September 23, President Obama announced his intent to provide state education leaders flexibility to move beyond current No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements and support state efforts to prepare every child for college and career. Eleven states have put forth flexibility requests that provide a far better alternative to NCLB's antiquated one-size-fits-all approach. Additionally, 28 States, D.C. and Puerto Rico have submitted an intent to request ESEA Flexibility.
