Hello 5 MSP sites
A couple of updates from our Study of Professional Development.
1. Attached is the summary PD Activity Log results as of June 2004 (recall Month 7 is for July 2003--when the Log started for many teachers-- some later). The highest response rate is 59 percent of the 423 Study teachers -- for last July's activities.
This is across the 4 initial sites doing the PDAL (Cleveland, El Paso, S. Texas, SUNY Brockport).
2. We are now preparing our year 2 report which will provide an analysis of the year 1 data from the study-- focusing on SEC baseline data, and 12 months of PDAL data. If you want to use the data from year 1 please let us know so if you want to gain access.
The analysis will include both descriptive results such as comparing teachers in the MSP supported PD vs. those that are not, as well as relationship of instruction in math and science to standards (in year 1).
3. We need a list of the MSP supported Professional Development activities in your project. You have provided these lists previously, but some of your information was for last summer. Please provide an up to date list of activities by target group and date.
This will make the analysis we do more meaningful and useful to you and your project.
