WTHS Grant Invests in Future Business Leaders

GoLocalWorcester.com (04/06/13) Monfredo, JohnIn Massachusetts, 10 high schools have received $20,000 grants to create a pilot financial literacy program for the 2013-14 school year. The Financial Literacy Pilot Program, which began three years ago, aims to help districts prepare high school students to make critical decisions about their personal finances. Massachusetts Education Commissioner Mitchell Chester says, "It is more important than ever that every student leave high school equipped with the ability to apply personal financial literacy concepts and skills that are pivotal to making key life decisions."
