Student Data Privacy Consortium Launches Privacy Contract Framework Project

On June 30, the Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) announced the launch of its first project, the Privacy Contract Framework. The project comes from work done by the Massachusetts Student Privacy Alliance (MSPA) around a "common contract" for districts to use throughout the state.  SDPC's project will look to expand the work done by MSPA and provide support for those schools, districts, regional organizations/associations and state education agencies that both do and do not have a model or template contract designed specifically for their jurisdiction. The SDPC is a collaborative of schools, districts, regional and state agencies, and additional stakeholders formed under the Access 4 Learning (A4L) Community, that looks to develop solutions to growing concerns around data privacy.  Please find more information on SDPC here.
