PUSD Awarded $100,000 in State Grants

California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson announced that the state will receive a total of $3.3 million in Specialized Secondary Program grants for 67 California school districts, including the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD), which will receive $100,000. The grants will help the school districts develop "cutting-edge programs so students can explore areas of study in a deeper way while developing their talents and skills for college or career," he said. The funds can be used for arts-integrated models, career academics, and Linked Learning pathways aimed at providing advanced learning opportunities for high school students in a variety of subjects.
