NASBE Releases Report on Student Data Privacy

On April 4th, the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) released a new report by Amelia Vance on seven lessons policymakers should consider as they pass and implement student data privacy laws, entitled  "Policymaking on Education Data Privacy: Lessons Learned." Over the last two years, NASBE has been engaged with policymakers in a variety of states as they look to pass student data privacy laws that protect students while allowing schools to use data to inform their instruction.
