MetaMetrics to Host Webinar on Improving Access to Free Text Resources

On Wednesday, October 9, MetaMetrics will host a webinar on gaining access to free text resources to improve student reading levels. There is a world of content ranging from newspaper and magazine articles, fiction and non-fiction e-books, and encyclopedia and reference content available for free at your school or local library. The majority of this content has been measured and has received a Lexile measure. Educators and parents can use these resources and accompanying Lexile measures to support differentiated instruction and implement the Common Core State Standards.

Experts in the field, Meredith Liben and Kathy Mansfield, will lead a discussion to cover the following topics:

  • How to find these free text resources
  • How educators and teachers across the country are using these free resources to tailor instruction and promote reading growth
  • How schools and educators are using these resources to implement the Common Core State Standards
  • Advice and search tips when using these resources to find text that meets all your needs

The webinar will take place Wednesday, October 9, 2013, from 3-4 p.m., ET. To register, please click here.
