How Does Your State Calculate Its Dropout Rate?

Last month's EIMAC Groupsite featured a question to SEA representatives, "How Does Your State Calculate Its Dropout Rate?." Eight states responded and while student coding or tracking seems to vary by state, in general this rate is calculated by taking (total dropouts in grades 7-12) divided by (total fall enrollment in grades 7-12). If you would like to read the detailed answers from each state and compare them to your own, please visit the Groupsite and look for this discussion. If your state has not yet responded please feel free to add your answer as this thread will remain open through the end of the year.
