Graduation Matters Montana Receives $50K Grant to Help Students Seek College Aid

For the second year, the Student Assistance Foundation has given a $50,000 grant to Graduation Matters Montana to help schools provide information students and parents need to apply for college financial aid. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau says Graduation Matters aims to remove barriers to college and enable students to avoid debt after college graduation, "and the best way to do that is to get financial aid." The grant money has enabled the Office of Public Instruction to establish the Graduation Matters-Student Assistance Foundation Montana College Readiness Fund, which enables schools to host college goal events, forums on completing federal financial aid forms, and other college preparation activities with grants of up to $5,000.
