CCSSO Files Comments with FCC in Support of Lifeline Modernization

CCSSO filed public comments with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) yesterday in support of Lifeline modernization and reform to increase access to broadband. The comments support the expansion of the Lifeline program to one that includes increased broadband access for educational purposes to help close the "homework gap." The comments outline two principles to help guide this reform effort: 1) broadband capacity and speeds should be sufficient to meet the needs of online learning and, 2) the program should offer technologically neutral solutions.  The full comments are available here.
