Bridgespan Releases New Report on State Exemplars of Common Core Implementation

Bridgespan has released a new paper entitled Building the Missing Link Between the Common Core and Improved Learning. The report tells the stories of three exemplars-a state (Kentucky), a large district (Hillsborough County Public Schools in Florida), and a technical assistance provider (Center for Inspired Teaching)-that are using the new standards to change the daily work of teachers and students.  It reflects on common themes and lessons learned from these efforts, and offers guidance for others who want to follow suit.

The paper offers insights for state and district leaders who seek to leverage the opportunity of the Common Core to meaningfully improve teaching and learning.
