16 Area Schools Earn Four Star State Rating

Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz announced that 311 schools had earned the Four Star School award. The award is only given to those schools that performed in the upper 25th percentile on the ISTEP+ and End-of-Course Assessment tests. Sixteen of the Four Star Schools were located in the 10-county Lafayette area. Ritz said, "Winning this award required excellent work by teachers, administrators, students, and parents throughout the year, and on behalf of the entire Indiana Department of Education, I send them my sincere congratulations."
