11 Schools Win $3M From Idaho for Tech Projects
Associated Press (07/01/13)Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna says 11 schools will share a $3 million state grant to test technology in the classroom. He says, "We will take what we learn from these pilots and expand our efforts so all students - not just those who are fortunate enough to attend these schools - but every student in Idaho has equal access to the best educational opportunities. " The grants range from a $55,000 award to Park Intermediate School in Weiser to set up a Chromebook lab and a Mobile Android 4.0 to a $891,000 award to Kuna Middle School in Kuna to give Chromebook laptops to all students to help improve math and writing skills.
